Mrs. Wright was raised in Perrysburg, Ohio. She attended Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC (CSU) for her undergraduate degree, where she graduated magna cum laude while majoring in biology with a minor in psychology. While attending CSU, she played on the intercollegiate volleyball team for 4 years and received the R.L. Wynn Christian Leadership Award which goes to a student athlete who exemplifies Christlike behavior. She was also awarded the Big South Conference Female Athlete of the Month, and ESPN Magazine’s First Team All-Academic. During undergraduate training she also participated in numerous research studies, including a NASA sponsored grant for developing therapies for the bird flu. Mrs. Wright attended the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where she received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. During her schooling at MUSC, she participated in a medical mission to Uganda and also volunteered regularly at a free clinic for the underserved in Charleston. Prior to joining GHS, she had returned to Ohio where she practiced surgery for two years. But after numerous clinical rotations in Greenville during her time at MUSC, she had fallen in love with the Upstate area which led to her relocation with her husband, Andy, to become practitioners in Greenville. Mrs. Wright is very excited to be working with the amazing team at GHS/Carolina Dermatology of Greenville, and is looking forward to providing outstanding care to her patients.
