Doctor Patricia Westmoreland has practiced Dermatology in Greenville since 1986. She is co-medical director of Carolina Aesthetics and a dermatologist in partnership with Dr. Van Hale at Carolina Dermatology.
After attending Winthrop College in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Dr. Westmoreland was one of only 3 women out of 70 students in her graduating class from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also completed her internship and residency training in internal medicine, and an additional residency training in dermatology.
She received recognition as “Dermatologist of the Year” in April 2005 by the South Carolina Dermatology Association.
Dr. Westmoreland is a member of numerous local, state and national medical and dermatological societies. She has participated in numerous research studies and clinical trials. She is a volunteer physician for the Greenville Free Medical Clinic. She participates annually in the Greenville free Skin Cancer Screening. She serves on the Board of Directors of Goodwill, Operations Committee, and formerly served on the South Carolina Medical Association Board of Trustees as Treasurer/Secretary, American Cancer Society of Greenville, CHADD (Children with Hyperactive and Attention Deficit Disorder) and CommuniCare, an agency that provides prescription drugs for the working poor, to name a few.
For many years, Dr. Westmoreland has mentored new physicians as part of the resident training program for the Greenville Hospital System.
